@fitheach we spoke about stars. I just took this, about 300 meters from my apartment. It's a nice camera and long exposure (8 seconds i think), but with just eyes you can see probably the same or a little more. From my window it's not much worse.

I installed several things on my thing (like gitea, nginx with a bunch of subdomains etc) and never had issues. Now I added drone, again, no issues.

The first build of a npm-based project brought the server load to ~2. I thought I have an excuse to go to the second-lowest-specced hetzner instance (which just adds an extra vCPU) but it scaled back down within like 30 seconds.

Then I started my (somewhat forgotten and only-started-on-demand) keycloak container, meltdown :)

One of these days I'm really gonna have to go out and try emacs. I think I opened it like twice in the nineties maybe and decided to go vi(m), and I never tried it since. But I think it might be good for me if I did try.

Dear followers, we'll be down for a bit, to do some system updates.

I don't know who ever talked me out of #TDD. I used to just do that by default, but in the last 5 years (of mostly enterprise work), I strayed from it.

Last...perhaps six months, I started doing more of it again, and I really enjoy my work again!

One of my favorite methods of sketching out a feature is to shut down the dev servers and only run tests.

Then when I have all of the features, and all of the UI elements, I can go around and make it pretty.

It's not completely #tdd, but it's very close.

Sometimes I really want the good old vanilla JavaScript back. Dealing with generics can be exhausting, and it can last a long time after the functionality already works.
