Bio
According to some, I'm avant-garde ;)
I try to stick to software development and engineering topics, often related to application development, but I also shitpost random stuff, occassionally about photography, (usually not more then) react to politics or economics.
My website is https://zlatko.dev but I less completely-infrequently post a photo or two to my photo gallery https://photos.zlatko.dev.
I also used to post at https://pixelfed.social/zlatko, and https://programming.dev/u/zlatko, and I'll occassionally swipe here and there.

This is super-stupid. Why would VLC crash my entire gnome session?

You can use privacy mode all you want, it's not helping: www.bitestring.com/posts/2023-03-19-web-fingerprinting-is-worse-than-I-thought.html #privacy

docker compost up. Probably gonna find worms.
Great day for photography. This photo taken on my phone because my camera battery is dead, my pixel is at 18% and pixel buds on 20ish as well.
And the camera photos are gonna be the opposite of this, F/8-11, punchy contrasty black and white pics. Can't wait to see what I got.

Even though this looks partly skewed (astro writes the blog post where astro performs best), this is insightful, especially the CWV graphs. Basically nobody is passing core web vitals with 100%. I bet only the motherfuckingwebsite.com/ and bettermotherfuckingwebsite.com/ pass these.

Oh, nice for #typescript 5, "Running TypeScript will get a nice bit faster – typically cutting down build times of anywhere between 10%-25%."

I just commited to doing a talk at our internal meetup titled "About code coupling in 1006 slides or less". (Ignore the 1006 part, it is an in-joke.) Ideas and contributions welcome.
Damn, why don't people make their apps very simply configurable?
At least for obvious things like where's the database?
