I try to stick to software development and engineering topics, often related to application development, but I also shitpost random stuff, occassionally about photography, (usually not more then) react to politics or economics.

edgy take on books vs movies
the problem with the damn studios making movies based on books and getting it wrong is that you now can't google the thing from wheel of time because it's all wrong out on the internet! now I have to read it all again!
I just ran into a link to something on Second Life. Isn't that the MMO-like thingy from like 15 years ago? Is that stil around, people still playing it? I mean, I would not be surprised, people are still playing Anarchy Online. (Which is by the way one of the rare games I really wished I could have played for longer, back when I did).

Heh, it sure makes you feel productive like when you go to do a little front-end on the side, then optimize dashboard loading time, finish it in one day, and not just that, but also add a new testing library and improve the coverage along the way.
