Bio
According to some, I'm avant-garde ;)
I try to stick to software development and engineering topics, often related to application development, but I also shitpost random stuff, occassionally about photography, (usually not more then) react to politics or economics.
My website is https://zlatko.dev but I less completely-infrequently post a photo or two to my photo gallery https://photos.zlatko.dev.
I also used to post at https://pixelfed.social/zlatko, and https://programming.dev/u/zlatko, and I'll occassionally swipe here and there.

Oh, the new neovim 0.10 looks like fun! Brings in a lot of functionality from the plugins. I'm looking forward to see the inlay hints specifically.
Interesting article titles:
- How to write bitter code
- Boring practices
Okay, one more thing to test then back to work:
does markdown now work here?
....so let's see if I'm prone to "do not post my links to mastodon" problem like the other people:

This itsfoss thing is making me go and generate the OG tags on my website :)
I find really amusing the software troubleshooting assistance I get from my wife. Like, I ask her "why does the handler here capture the event two times, when the logs clearly see only one trigger?"
I don't even give her a context, just a sentence out of the blue, and she's not a techie, she doesn't understand most of the stuff I do at work.
But she often accepts the game and just answers with a random "have you tried turning it off and on again" or "try deleting something" or repeat-and-negate a part of my sentence.
And then I step back and find that this leads me to a new way of thinking about the problem, and often, to a solution.
Maybe she's really so much better at software engineering then I am that I don't even understand how good she is.
If it wasn't slightly annoying, this itsfoss vs mastodon thing would almost be a nice popcorn amusement.
God damn it, I hate people who write "smart" code, I wish them 100 years of fixing other people's crap!
That time when you're pushing fifty and the ladies at the bakery call after you: "you forgot your bagel, YOUNG MAN!"
Nice little (relatively-)long exposure sky:
