I've been doing #52frames for a year now. While sometimes it's felt as a grind, I think it's helped me learn quite a few new things, concepts and I got some connections and feedback on my photography.

And I think in general it is net-positive, so I'm recommending it to any hobbyist wanting to push their photography and learn new things. While you can start at any time, the new year is just started, it's a good time to try out if this is for you.

E.g. this week's challenge is self-portrait. Last year I did one where I also learned about the Rembrandt lighting of a portrait!

This year it's time for a re-do, with "off-camera light" as an extra challenge. I'm looking forward to it.
