As a devops person, what's the optimal number of alerts you get per day?

@brennen heh, I get what you're saying, my question is stupid :)
What I meant is more like, how much monitoring you want? Like, if the thing pings you 300 times a day that "CPU utilization is high" or something, it's obviously a useless alert. Another alert then never jumps out (even when you should have intervented) is similarly not very useful.
But I don't know if it's like 1-2 a day, or maybe 5-6 or something. I'm sure the real answer is "it depends", but I'm looking to hear some experiences, hence the question.
