A little shameless self-promotion: my 52frames.com profile is here:

It's a weekly challenge to take a photo, given a theme. While it's not always making me take great photos (last-minute scrambles tend to produce "meh" results), my self-imposed commitment to actually post every week has helped inspire me and put the camera in my hands, and do some decent photos, even. Even when the result for the 52frames challenge does not work out the best, if I go out with the camera to hunt for it, I bring back pics I like.
I can seriously recommend this to people to try.
