Having to switch to icon view to have a right-click -> new folder in gnome for the last time made me finally go back to KDE again, after probably 15 years.

@zlatko it works in list view as well, but not if you right click on a file

@ebassi I know, you have to right-click on the very edge, near the scrollbar. It used to be up in the menu, and before that in the round gear thingy. Anyway, many things disappeared over the years. Since I live in my tools (browsers, IDEs etc), I usually don't mind that much, but it's just time to switch I guess.

@zlatko @ebassi The new directory has nothing to do with any files, so right-clicking on the empty space is the logical action. But free software is to respect one's own choice. 👍

Look at how little of it there is. When I'm doing a job, it's distracting to me to go targeting mouses and look for empty spaces. (To be honest, I only knew you could do it at the right edge, near the sidebar).

IIRC it used to be that the space between the file name and other metainfo on the right you could also right-click. It definitely used to be so that you could File -> New Folder.

Thanks for the opinion. I don't want to say, it's a wrong direction. I just want to say I wasn't happy before, and with today's pointless search again, I've had enough motivation to go look elsewhere.

@zlatko @ebassi I hardly ever use this mode. Is there no space below the list?
