Mean troll, first he killed me, then he wrecked all my fort entrances, and now he camps there.

Once you have wolves the trolls stop being a big problem.

if you have no gear or cant access it you could try to exploit the factions rivialries - Trolls and the Greydwarves belong to one faction (hence they will work together against you, while skeletons are in another. Kite your camper to a skeleton crypt then senak off while it's busy making bone fragements.
@Theriac Yes, I know I could do that. But AltGr, alas, had other plans. Panic seized him, courage fled, and he bolted. Successfully, I might add :)
