AltGr has found a map to the Elder. It pointed to a distant part of the world, but alas, that direction was accross the ocean. AltGr has crossed the big water, and explored the strange new land. There were meadows but also more dangerous forests, but in the end, behind the new lands, there were more seas.
Looking for another place to sleep, AltGr found a weird looking patch of land. It looks kind of misty. AltGr will have to go look, early in the morning.
It did not take long. The strange new lands are far more dangerous than anything AltGr has met so far. AltGr met his end, yet again, and was stopped in hius explorations.
Without his gear, though, without his smelters and tools, he had to leave this challenge for later.
Time to, somehow, get back to fort, even by a small raft if needed, and find a different way to this cursed Elder.
Left without even the shirt on his back, AltGr got to work. First, he got to making himself a club. Then to hunting. Then to cooking some sturdy foods to serve him on his way home. He'll need his strength, underequipped and underpowered as he was, through the wild, dark forest. In the morning, he'll be going home.
Backtracing his way to the dark forest, AltGr found another small cache he built along the way here. There, he found some more skins, and some food he gathered, and packed the lightest things.
Then he sat in the afternoon, planning his next steps long into the evening. The forest with only a flint spear and flint axe again is not going to be easy. But it has to be done.
With his last thoughts going towards the great halls of Valhalla and the great Yggdrasil, AltGr left the night.
The morning went on excitingly! A troll, several skelletons, and a score of Greydwarves had chased AltGr all throughout the forest. Luckily, he had Eikthyr's power to helm him through the trouble, but it was close. Plus, his ragged run path brought him on a different route then the one he planned. He wasn't exactly on his way home, but he did find himself a willage, where he'll be able to recuperate some strength.
