According to some, I'm avant-garde ;)
I try to stick to software development and engineering topics, often related to application development, but I also shitpost random stuff, occassionally about photography, (usually not more then) react to politics or economics.

It's a weekly challenge to take a photo, given a theme. While it's not always making me take great photos (last-minute scrambles tend to produce "meh" results), my self-imposed commitment to actually post every week has helped inspire me and put the camera in my hands, and do some decent photos, even. Even when the result for the 52frames challenge does not work out the best, if I go out with the camera to hunt for it, I bring back pics I like.
I can seriously recommend this to people to try.
@FediPact hey you know what's missing on that fedipact.online site of yours? The "how". I'm a single-user instance admin but I'd still like to defederate but I don't know what are the ways to do that. I mean, even if it's just instance blocking, I don't know which instance. Do you have any pointers?

I love how argocd asks you 3 times in three places, "enabling this will potentially destroy", then in edit mode "hey if you set this flag, it could destroy", then you click okay all the time and click Sync and it's like "hey btw this could potentially destroy". Clearly software built by operations people who've deleted too many prod databases :P #devops #argocd #k8s
My little collection of services that I'm hosting at hetzner is slowly growing again. I keep stupidly hoping it'll grow enough to justify actually getting a hetzner auction server, so I can set up things on metal for REAL. I don't know why, I'd just containerize everything anyway, I just wish to play with that stuff again I guess.
