I try to stick to software development and engineering topics, often related to application development, but I also shitpost random stuff, occassionally about photography, (usually not more then) react to politics or economics.

My IntelliJ feels a lot faster and more responsive since I upgraded my ancient 4-core i7-4790k to a 12-core Ryzen 7900x. I mostly use Neovim anyway, but I found it easier to visually present info to people, operate Git history, and plan some refactors when I have the Project view in IntelliJ, so I still fire it up, at least once or twice a week. Anyway, my old CPU was fast enough for most things, but it was really showing it's age. #intellij #ryzen #performance
