Bio
According to some, I'm avant-garde ;)
I try to stick to software development and engineering topics, often related to application development, but I also shitpost random stuff, occassionally about photography, (usually not more then) react to politics or economics.
My website is https://zlatko.dev but I less completely-infrequently post a photo or two to my photo gallery https://photos.zlatko.dev.
I also used to post at https://pixelfed.social/zlatko, and https://programming.dev/u/zlatko, and I'll occassionally swipe here and there.

Ah, dear AltGr, stark naked. Can we do it again? #valheim
Oh, btw, tomorrow in Munich, there's a yearly event, an exhibition from the local "Munich Photography Meetup". This year it's titled "Reflections". Come join, even though they didn't pick my photo :)

Off to the new adventures! AltGr has rearmed and re-equipped, tended the crops, and returned back to the newly discovered shore. He built a karve, but this time he bypassed the foul swamp lands. He went directly accross the sea.
He even found a nice patch of Meadows on the next island, but AltGr ignored it as "too boring, we need to find the Elder". Wait, the next island? How many of them are there?
Nevertheless, AltGr sailed on, good wind in his sail, until he reached yet another distant shore. There was another patch of the swamp, damn it. Let's move a bit northwards go around it to find that Elder, AltGr thought.
He did not find another land, but he did. This was a strange land, not exactly Meadows, but also not the Black forest. Plains, if he remembered the old maps correctly, the lands of dangerous creatures. It looked like there's a village in the back, should he go and ask for directions?
AltGr has found a map to the Elder. It pointed to a distant part of the world, but alas, that direction was accross the ocean. AltGr has crossed the big water, and explored the strange new land. There were meadows but also more dangerous forests, but in the end, behind the new lands, there were more seas.
Looking for another place to sleep, AltGr found a weird looking patch of land. It looks kind of misty. AltGr will have to go look, early in the morning.
AltGr dared the stormy sea, to see what's on the other side today. As he set out to the sea, it was a nice, fresh, sunny morning. But only a few hours off the cost, and the storm caught up with him, tossing and trashing his little carve.
As soon as he got there, he built himself a little shack, just so he can stay the night in a warm place. Right the next day, the forest on the new island expressed a desire - to test its newest inhabitant. Having barely prevailed, AltGr decided to build himself a moat. Next time the forest comes, he'll be ready.
Now, AltGr will go to sleep, and to maybe hatch some plans on how to explore the new island.
Mean troll, first he killed me, then he wrecked all my fort entrances, and now he camps there.
"If an hour of Netflix is 7GB, what's 100MB for an app?" - I don't think this argument makes sense. Nobody minds download speeds, that's usually not relevant.
What's relevant is you start an app, and you have a 100MB binary, vs maybe 5MB native binary. I think that's where the 100MB count.
I still think it's mostly fine, there are trade-offs all around, but let's focus on them, not on the irrelevant comparisons.
